How is Traction easy to use?

Traction’s modern, intuitive interface makes it easy to use for all skill levels. This is supplemented by a full user help file and release notes detailing new functionality. Monthly forum webinars are also available to all Traction users.

How can Traction help me?

Traction holistically measures transportation system performance and helps you identify areas for improvement. Traction provides easy access to traffic data for any freeway and arterial segments by time of day. Animated congestion playback allows you granularly identify congestion hotspots and alert you when travel times exceed thresholds.

Where does the data in Traction come from?

Most of the data comes from smart phones. Kimley-Horn has data agreements in place with Google, Tom-Tom/Azure and Waze. User trajectory data is gathered from your agency’s iOS and Android Traction app users. Additional agency owned infrastructure can be integrated with Traction’s ATSPM module.

How long does Traction take to setup?

We can utilize your existing login credentials and have you up in within a matter of minutes
